Social psychology

Social psychologists study how thoughts, feelings and behaviour are influenced by others. They focus on the influence of this social environment on both individual and group behaviour. Social psychologists focus on themes such as stereotypes and prejudice, cooperation and conflict, decision-making, power and leadership, and social influence. The knowledge acquired by social psychologists is relevant to various social issues. These include sustainable and environmentally friendly behaviour, diversity and inclusiveness, consumer behaviour, and dealing with conflicts.
