The ASPO dissertation award is granted each year to distinguish the author of the dissertation that most significantly contributed to the field of social psychology that year.
To be eligible to apply for this year’s award, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Their dissertation should cover a social psychological topic
- They have defended, or will defend, their thesis between 1st October of the previous year and 30st September of that year
- They have obtained, or will obtain, their PhD at a Dutch university.
The award for best dissertation comes with a prize of €500,-, and, more importantly, the honourable recognition of best dissertation in social psychology.
Each year, a call for nominations is announced through the ASPO website and the ASPO mailing list. The deadline for nominations is 1st September. The winner of the ASPO dissertation award will be announced at the ASPO conference in December. The winner will present their thesis at the conference during a plenary meeting.
