The ASPO conference takes place every year. It is the largest meeting sponsored by the Association, and provides an opportunity for members to meet and discuss their work with a large proportion of the membership. It is also the occasion on which the Members Meeting takes place, where, among others, new members of the Board are announced.

The 2024 ASPO conference takes place in Groningen on 12-13 December and is hosted by the Social psychology group at the University of Groningen.

Dear colleague,
You are cordially invited to the ASPO 2024 conference in the Forum in Groningen, on 12-13 December, hosted by the Social psychology group at the University of Groningen. As you know, the ASPO conference is an ideal setting to meet and reconnect with other social psychologists, present your work, and stay tuned with recent research developments in social psychology in the Netherlands. The conference language is English, and we welcome submissions from both junior and senior researchers. We are happy to inform you that the keynote speakers will be Verónica Benet-Martínez and Jan Willem Bolderdijk.
You are invited to submit a proposal to present your work at the annual ASPO conference. You can submit one of two types of proposals: A 10-12 minute oral presentation or a poster presentation. Please note: Data collection and analysis should be completed at the time of submission. If you have a preference for your talk to be scheduled in a session with another related talk or talks (i.e., symposium format) you can indicate the presentation title(s) and presenter name(s) of up to 3 other talks in the submission form. The best poster presentation will be selected during the conference and will be awarded the poster award.
Submission procedure
1. Submit your proposal for an oral presentation or poster presentation (before Friday, 27 September 2024) at the following link: https://rug.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2mGw7XycUziqt02
2. The program committee will select submissions. We aim to inform you whether your proposal was accepted or rejected by e-mail at or around 25 October 2024.
3. Accepted proposals will be included in the conference program. We try to take preferences for clustering related talks into symposia into account.
